ECM Golf Academy Summer Camp & Junior Open 2025

2 – 7 June 2025

Welcome Message

Dear golfers,

It is with immense excitement and pride that I welcome you to the inaugural ECM Golf Academy Spring Camp & Junior Open 2025. As the head coach and a fervent supporter of the sport, I'm elated to introduce our first event for the year.

This championship is not merely a competition, but a manifestation of our collective passion for golf and a catalyst for nurturing talent. We have gone to great lengths to ensure that the tournament is accessible to golfers of varying skill levels, thereby providing a competitive yet inclusive environment for all.

From complimentary warm-up sessions at our new 5-acre facility to meticulously planned training sessions, this junior open offers the perfect setting for you to not only challenge your game, but also to engage with like-minded individuals who share your love for the sport. We've also put together an enriching programme that includes a training day for juniors and adults, with the hope of sharing the ECM Golf Academy’s methodology with all aspiring golfers.

In the words of golf legend Ben Hogan, "As you walk down the fairway of life you must smell the roses, for you only get to play one round." In this spirit, I encourage you to seize this incredible opportunity to both expand your horizons and elevate your game.

I look forward to witnessing outstanding performances, sportsmanship, and above all, spending some quality time.

Yours in golf,

Introduction

This Summer, ECM Golf Academy proudly launches its inaugural June camp and tournament series, designed to immerse student-athletes in a premier training environment. Participants will gain valuable insights into refining their training techniques under expert guidance. Each athlete will be awarded a certificate and provided meals, along with a CoachNow profile to track their progress. At the end of the camp, parents are invited to a special meeting with the Head Coach to discuss their child’s development and receive tailored advice on future focus areas.

Frequently Asked Questions | FAQ

  • The camp maintains a low student-to-instructor ratio to ensure each participant receives individualised attention and maximises their potential for growth.

  • The primary language of communication during the camp is English.

  • The primary mode of communication is WhatsApp for parents outside of China, and WeChat for parents in China. These platforms enable us to promptly share updates, pictures, and other important information.

  • To download and install WhatsApp or WeChat, visit the app store on your smartphone (Google Play Store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS). Simply search for “WhatsApp” or “WeChat” and follow the on-screen instructions.

  • The amount may vary depending on personal preferences and available activities. We recommend RM50–100 per day, or a minimum of RM300 for the entire 6-day camp.

  • If possible, exchange your currency or Malaysian ringgit before attending camp to get a better rate. If necessary, there will be an exchange counter available at Epsom when you arrive.

  • Debit cards can be used where accepted. We suggest confirming with your bank about any international fees. While parents may allow their child to carry a debit card, we recommend caution to avoid accidental overspending.

  • We have protocols in place for COVID-19. If symptoms worsen, we will refer your child to a doctor or hospital if needed. A quarantine or isolation area is also prepared if necessary, and any close contacts will be monitored.

  • For younger students, we generally allow them to rest if they’re not feeling well. If they feel comfortable and want to continue training, we support that as well. We always adapt to each individual’s needs.

  • We offer balanced meals that cater to different dietary needs (e.g., vegetarian, halal). Our goal is to maintain a healthy yet tasty menu that suits a variety of preferences.

  • Trained staff—including dorm wardens, coaches, and administrators—oversee participants at all times. We maintain a safe staff-to-student ratio for personalized attention and consistent care.

  • We have contingency plans for various scenarios, including bad weather. All staff are first-aid certified, and the camp maintains insurance coverage. We also follow established safety protocols throughout the program.

  • We have planned indoor sessions, workshops, or mental training activities to ensure the camp schedule continues safely without compromising participant experience.
